Expressions Studios first opened its doors to the public in 2004 as a commercial company with three studios and a cafe. It was the vision of two dancers namely Orod and Dessy Ohanians who wanted to provide a good quality dance space for the community to enjoy. The studios are equipped with wood sprung floors, air-conditioning, sound-systems and ballet barres.
Several years later and the studios have expanded into the basement, gaining two further rooms. One such studio doubles as a club venue where we hold regular dance nights.
At around this time the studio started the process of changing it's status to that of a registered charity. This allows for more flexibility, new projects to be organised and funding to be secured from government bodies and trusts.
Our aim as a charity is to provide our customers with accessible, good quality facilities plus space for the people who live or work in the London Borough of Camden. We provide these facilities primarily for young people, those who suffer financial hardship or have a disability. We also impart these services to the public with the objective of improving their quality of life.
It is Expressions aim to give advance physical education to the public through the provision of free or affordable dance classes to schools and community groups. Our teachers are fully qualified and our studios are top of the range and very competitively priced. Classes on offer include Ballroom', 'Zumba', 'Salsa', 'Ballet', Pilates, Yoga and lots more...
